Rewind Therapy

Welcome to Moment Of Truth Well-being! Discover the potential of Rewind therapy technique to help you overcome trauma and phobias effectively and efficiently. Start your journey towards healing and well-being with us.

This therapeutic method is often known as a visual-kinaesthetic dissociation technique. Essentially, it allows you to revisit past events in a controlled, detached manner. The process involves exposing yourself to memories without fully engaging with the associated emotions and mental strain.

The key concept is that a therapist can guide you through revisiting a traumatic event without the need to constantly retell or relive it, potentially minimizing its negative impact. In just one session or a series of brief sessions, you can mentally go back to the beginning of the experience without intensifying any existing harm.

Our clinical supervisors utilise a combination of the seven-eyed model, the functions model, and the developmental models of supervision.

The seven-eyed model of supervision provides insight into the relationships between the supervisee and:

  • Their client
  • Their supervisor (parallel process)
  • The organizations they work for
  • Their interventions with their client
  • The therapeutic relationship

It also takes into account material from both the client (issues they bring to sessions) and the supervisor (challenges they face during supervision).

All of this is then examined in relation to the therapeutic work and how to provide support to the counsellor and the client.

The functions model focuses on three main functions of supervision:

Normative - involving monitoring and evaluation

Formative - for developing the supervisee’s knowledge and skills

Restorative - offering positive regard, support, and validation

By integrating these models throughout our supervision journey, we aim to effectively meet both your and your client's needs.

The Developmental model of supervision emphasizes accurately identifying the supervisee’s current stage and providing feedback and support tailored to that developmental stage. It also aims to facilitate the supervisee's progression to the next stage.

Every session typically begins with a brief check-in regarding your personal well-being, after which the focus shifts to your exploration of the work with your clients in a collaborative manner.
